Shopping Season Has Arrived: A Cyber Monday Wishlist

Community Manager

It’s time to say goodbye to spooky season and welcome the season of shopping deals. Forget haunted houses and scary movies—you won’t be running anywhere but towards the checkout button!

We've all had a wishlist just waiting for the sales, and what better way to make those wishes a reality than from the comfort of your home this Cyber Monday (Dec. 2)? In the spirit of shopping season we want to know what you have your eye on this year. Maybe you’re looking for a new video doorbell, router, or feature/functionality for a product? Whatever it is, we want to know!

Tell us what new technology, products, updates, and functionalities you’re most excited for by November 12 and we’ll give you 250 THWACK points in exchange.

The Thwack Blanket, or as I've unofficially taken to calling it with my coworker, the Swuggie.

I've been eyeing getting an Apple Watch but I've really not been sure how good the battery is. It's just another thing I need to keep charged.

May not be shopping. Might just take the family on a trip this year. From the black friday ads i am seeing its not looking to good.

Level 7

New TV - (my 2012 Vizio is finally starting to die )

New Modem (again bought in 2012 and starting to slip )

That's about it for tech, I dont have time for much else anymore, the more practical the better.

Speaking of which, more time would be awesome, or maybe the ability to focus on a project long enough to finish it.

THWACK Blanket or Hoodie would be cool.

The knowledge to pass my upcoming CCNA exam on the first try would be wonderful.

I like gadgets, and I wish the Store had more of them. I would love to see more than just a thumb drive. I understand it's probably more difficult and expensive to get items other than clothing and cups with the logo, but there is a demand lol. Thanks for all you do for us Thwack users!

My list:

Tile Pro Tracker

4k FireStick

Logitech Craft wireless keyboard

SmartHome tech (thermostat, doorbell, etc)

Fitness gear! Clothes and devices

Level 8

Additional SmartHome switches/light bulbs

Wireless headphones

The time to sleep in for once

Roku stick

anything thwack related that I don't already have is on my list!

I've been mostly good this year, so I'm asking Santa for some home theater goodies.  My wish list will be:

New TV (currently have a 10 year old Samsung 42")

Some kind of soundbar that emulates surround.  My room doesn't lend itself well to placing speakers unfortunately.

Black out shades!

Level 12

stress relief squishy squeeze ball

massage gift cards

[Can you tell I'm a bit stressed right now?]

Level 10

Looking at new phones. (Sam's Club has a great deal this Saturday.)

Would like a new TV but my old one is fine.

Level 12

But what I really want is a full suspension Mountain Bike. Something like a Trek Fuel 8.

Level 8

Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 (have 5 kids at home!)

Level 12

A new 3-5TB USB drive is also on my list!

Level 9

A new 3rd gen Ryzen PC build is on my Christmas list.  Also a 144hz 1440p Freesync monitor to go with...

Level 7

High quality dash cam!

Said in your best Bob Barker voice - A NEW CAR!!!!!!!   Play that price is right music.................  LOL

Level 10

I want a cell phone that with a big screen and lots of storage. I think I found it in the Samsung Note 10+ (512 GB internal storage) with a 1 TB micro SD card.

seriously looking at the new Apple Airpod Pro's

I love my really sweet Solarwinds headphones, but active noise cancellation is just what I need

It's nice having affordable equipment that's lightweight enough to manage, and good enough to fill one's personal quality standards for excellence.  I'm glad those are good products for you.

If I were still in that mode I'd definitely look into them (no pun intended).  But since I've focused more on fishing & music performance (oh goodness--ANOTHER photographic pun--sorry), I am happy to use my Smartphone's camera for its convenience, good quality, weight, and price.

If you have some pictures of which you're proud, paste a couple in!  Or share a link if you have them on the web--I'd like to see what you like to photograph.

The Wife and I are expecting our first child in March so we will be on the lookout for all things baby this year.

More Thwack Store swag

I Googled "Thwack Baby" and was surprised at what's baby-related AND associated with some kind of thwack.

Thwack Baby Blankets - CafePress

This one looks to be the bomb for Solarwinds babies!:   https://www.teepublic.com/onesies/thwack

More smart home stuff so I can give commands instead of leaving the couch!

A 3-5tb storage drive, because you never have enough space.

The wireless charger in the thwack store! (might be a pipe dream though)

2. Kano or Raspberry pi for the kids

For the TV (if you are in the market for a budget TV) in my opinion the TCL 6 series can't be beat.  Only $750 for a 65" 4k, with HDR and a Full Array Local Dimming backlight, plus the built in Roku.  Excellent value and really great looking picture for how inexpensive they are.

Level 7

The new AirPods Pro by Apple

Level 10

I have a few tech items. These usually fall through, but if I am being hopeful, perhaps some of these will show up. As a father, I can always expect socks and underwear. Time for some Father Tech to come through.

Either a new computer that never bogs down/freezes up even though all virus/malware/adware removal programs indicate no problems (yes I ran sfc /scannow and DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth as well, didn't help) &/or video card(?)  that doesn't downgrades screen resolution and sometimes puts monitor to sleep (DVI connection) while also connected to RCA 4K tv through HDMI and sometimes turns monitor back on when HDMI cable is removed from connection to video card??? Santa??? (& iPhone 10 on Black Friday - not Christmas ). And friends with smarter pants

Level 11
