Complex statically-defined network device monitoring is moving from physical to software-defined networks. What does this impact and how? Why is it challenging to monitor SD-WAN traffic? The SolarWinds product team would like to know what your respective organizations are doing to tackle this growing challenge and get your thoughts on SD-WAN. The survey should take less than 10 minutes to complete.

Any insight whatsoever into Viptela SD-WAN routers (or Cisco routers running SD-WAN capable code for that matter) would be extremely useful for us. We have had to develop extensive scripts to supplement…

Any insight whatsoever into Viptela SD-WAN routers (or Cisco routers running SD-WAN capable code for that matter) would be extremely useful for us. We have had to develop extensive scripts to supplement the gaps in monitoring (both "classic" data like hardware sensors, IP addresses or even interface descriptions to SD-WAN specific metrics) and to gain a basic overview of our SD-WAN environment.
Hopefully integration with Viptela/Cisco SD-WAN routers is coming soon to Orion since it would definitely reduce the need for 3rd party customizations !
