[SURVEY] Alert, Incident, and On-Call Management

The SolarWinds Product team would like to get your thoughts on alert, incident, and on-call management via our online survey, which should take approximately 5 minutes to complete. 

The first 25 respondents who fully complete the survey will receive a US$25 Amazon® Gift Card. All respondents will earn 2000 THWACK points for completing the survey as a “thank you” for your time.

I completely agree with @Seashore. The idea of Alert Central was great, but it just didn't do enough. We still have alerts going to a mailbox called Alert Central, despite de-installing it some while ago. We've been running our distribution rules on that mailbox for ages 🙂

Done. Reading the tea leaves, it sounds like Solarwinds is looking for that final gap of alerting that isn't really handled well in Orion? We've been agonizing over this very subject because right now we're just using custom properties and a cheap emailtovoice solution. I'd like to look at PagerDuty, but working for a state university means there are tons of rules for procurement that are way over my head.
