NCM v7.2 Hot Fix 2 is Now Available

SolarWinds Orion Network Configuration Manager version 7.2 Hotfix 2

This hotfix requires Orion NCM version 7.2.

Hotfix 2 fixes a problem related to a memory leak that causes scheduled jobs to fail when the targeted node count is high (5K+).

To install the HotFix:

1. Extract the contents in this zip archive into a directory on NCM server.
2. Use Orion Service Manager (SolarWinds Orion > Advanced Features) to stop all services.
3. Close the NCM win32 application if it is open.
4. Verify that no NCM jobs are running.
5. Backup SolarWinds.Orion.NCM.Security.dll in the NCM installation directory (by default, C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Configuration Management).
6. Replace SolarWinds.Orion.NCM.Security.dll with the version extracted from the HotFix archive.
7. Use Orion Service Manager (SolarWinds Orion > Advanced Features) to restart all services. Wait 3-5 minutes for services to start.
8. Run your jobs to verify that the HotFix corrected the problem you were experiencing.

To Uninstall this hotfix:

1. Use Orion Service Manager (SolarWinds Orion > Advanced Features) to stop all services.
2. Close the NCM win32 application if it is open.
3. Verify that no NCM jobs are running.
4. Restore the backed-up version of SolarWinds.Orion.NCM.Security.dll to the NCM installation directory (by default, C:\Program Files\SolarWinds\Configuration Management).
5. Use Orion Service Manager (SolarWinds Orion > Advanced Features) to restart all services. Wait 3-5 minutes for services to start.
