Exchange: Sort by

Jump to solution

Hi,

we have the same problem like in this Thread : Exchange: Sort by

The Mailboxes are sorted by OU.

ARM 9.2.425.2

Number of Mailboxes:  ~1300 in 2 Databases

According to the Manual it changed by a setting in pnServer.conf.xml:

  <exchange.makeMailBoxCategories type="System.Boolean">false</exchange.makeMailBoxCategories>

but that doesnt work.

I also tried it like mentioned in the above Thread

  <exchange.makeMailBoxCategories type="System.Boolean">false</exchange.makeMailBoxCategories>

  <exchange>

    <makeMailBoxCategories type="System.Boolean">false</makeMailBoxCategories>

  </exchange>

but that also doesnt work.

Any Idea ?

Oh wait, I'm blind you're using the wrong config setting.

To turn off OU sorting:

<exchange.makeMailBoxOUCategories type="System.Boolean">false</exchange.makeMailBoxOUCategories>

Then it will go back to the old grouping by surename if there are more than 200 users.

Combined with this:

<exchange.makeMailBoxCategories type="System.Boolean">false</exchange.makeMailBoxCategories>

you'll get a flat list of all user if there are more than 200 users (would not recommend due to performance in the UI).

Did you rescan after you set the settings? The sorting is the last step of the scan due to performance (would take way too long to sort in the UI when opening it).

Additional Info:

when i restart the ARM Service and take a look into the pnServer.log, the entrys in the Configuration part for Exchange are :

exchange.scanBlockwise = True

exchange.publicFolderScanDepth = 1000

exchange.makeMailBoxCategories = False

but in the UI the Mailboxes are still sorted by OU

Thanks a lot.....

yes, performance is a small issue, but it is acceptable.
