Feature requests have multiple stages, from creation to closure. It's important to know what each status means and how it affects the lifecycle of the idea.
Open for Voting
When a new Feature Request is created, it is Open for Voting. This means that it's open for the entire THWACK community to vote up or down.
What We're Working On
When the product teams have decided to include the feature in an upcoming release, the status is changed to What We're Working On (WWWO). This means the idea is in active development with our teams. If you'd like to see the roadmaps, look at Where can I find product roadmaps? While ideas are in our WWWO, you can still up/down vote them to let us know if we're on the right track.
On the Roadmap
Sometimes a feature is something we're interested in implementing but it won't be in the next few releases. We want to be clear that we got the message and change the status to On the Roadmap. If it's on our roadmap, we definitely want to continue to get your feedback. During this phase, you can continue to vote on the idea.
Future Consideration
If an idea comes in and we're interested, but not quite ready to commit to either On the Roadmap or What We're Working On, we'll put it in Future Consideration. Basically, we're interested and understand, but can't commit to anything. Since these ideas are generally out a little ways, continue to vote on them.
Implemented
After a feature request has been rolled into a product, the status is changed to Implemented. This means that as of a specific release, that feature is in the product. Since the feature has been implemented, new voting is blocked.
Closed
The final status to discuss is Closed. A feature request can be closed for any number of reasons: it's a duplicate of another request, the feature already exists in the product, or the request has gone stagnant. You cannot vote on these feature requests.
