THWACK Monthly Mission - Power Up

UP, DOWN, UP, DOWN, A, B, SELECT, time to start a new monthly mission! And for this month we are challenging you to embrace your inner (or maybe not so inner) gamer as we all gear up for IT PRO Day! Over the next ten days, you will face some new challenges as we talk about how to POWER UP your IT career. But be on the lookout for the ever-looming enemy as they try to knock you off your path to ultimate domination in your quest to reach the treasure chest at the end of this level. And just like any good cheat, warp tunnel, or other ways to POWER UP, you will have to keep your eyes open for helpful information to answer the questions you encounter.

SEPTEMBER MISSION

Use the mission’s resources to complete the tasks and answer the questions for a chance to win!

Answer each question correctly during the week and you'll be entered for a chance to win the weekly prize.

Answer all 10 questions correctly over the course of the month and you'll be entered for a chance to win the grand prize.

150 points are being awarded for each correctly answered question. There are 10 questions, which means you can earn a maximum of 1,500 points for this mission.

A new question will open every day (Monday - Friday) starting on September 5, 2022. Once a question has opened, it will remain open until September 18, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. CT. Check the schedule below for exact open/close times.

  • We aren't too proud to admit when we've made a mistake or take ownership of a problem.  This month, due to technical problems with the points automation, some of you haven't been getting your duly awarded points.  For those of you who identified this problem to us, we want to thank you and extend our apologies.  Please rest assured that we're working to make this right.

    As a token of our appreciation, we're going to award every member who has participated in this mission and received the mission participation badge 1,500 points.  That's in addition to any points you've already earned during the mission prior to when the automated points system stopped working.  The points will be awarded some time after this current mission completes and we've had time to tabulate the records.

    Caveat: This does not mean you should stop participating in the mission.  The winners for the second week and the grand prize are still sitting out there and only those with correct answers will be entered into those drawings.

    This is a small way of saying "thank you" for your continued participation on our THWACK Monthly Missions and we're hopeful that this will be rectified before the next mission kicks off.
