We’re all racing to get ahead of today’s distributed environments. You always need to know what’s coming around the next corner. This month, it’s time to push upgrade speed and product performance to the limits. Start your engines and get ready for 4 stages spread out throughout 20 days of questions—and let’s see who will cross the finish line and head to the winner’s circle with insights into tighter integration, greater scalability, and security enhancements.

JULY MISSION

Use the mission’s resources to complete the tasks and answer the questions for a chance to win!

Correctly answer each question during the week and you'll be entered for a chance to win the weekly prize.

Correctly answer all 20 questions over the course of the month and you'll be entered for a chance to win the grand prize.

150 points are being awarded for each correctly answered question. There are 20 questions, which means you can earn a maximum of 3,000 points for this mission.

A new question will open every day (Monday - Friday) starting on July 6, 2020. Once a question has opened, it will remain open until August 2, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. CT. Check the schedule below for exact open/close times.

Shortcut steps:

  1. On your Orion server, go to Settings, My Orion Deployment.
  2. Click on the "Updates & Evaluations" tab.          
    (Hint: URL should look like this: https://(MyOrionServerName)/ui/ha/deployment/update)
  3. Submit a screenshot of the page (including body and footer), showing no products updates are available.

  •  and  I'm not aware of any real blockers for the release.  No new databases (still just one each for Log Analyzer/Manager, NetFlow Traffic Analyzer, and the rest of the Orion products).  There have been a few hotfixes since the initial 2020.2 release, but they should all download and install if you are running the installer online.

    If you want to see specifics about the HF's, you can always head over to the Success Center and search for "2020.2 hotfix" to see what's been fixed since GA.  Mostly it's relatively minor things, but I always try to read as much of that before I click "Install."

    Also, capture a diagnostic before upgrading.  It was something I got in the habit of and I still recommend.  Nice to have a "before" and "after" if needed.  If you need to know how to do that, I go over it in a Triple-T video.
