THWACK Monthly Mission - January 2022

Ein, the data-obsessed canine, was the ultimate tool for the space cowboy who relies on the best suite of tools to bring in his bounty. Granted, we aren’t fortunate enough to have a Pembroke Welsh corgi with hyperintelligence sitting in our toolbox, but we do have a myriad of other ways to get the job done. Some involve efficiency; others include Spike Spiegel’s stamp of approval for getting the job done with style.

This January, we’re going to look at tools available to help wrangle in remote users and support their various needs remotely. Space is vast and can sometimes feel isolated and alone, even for a cowboy. That’s why your remote team needs you. You could be the one person in the universe who can help get the things they need done. This month’s weekly prizes include cool gadgets, some tech that adds a little “oomph” to the remote working space, and even a standing desk, to name a few.

JANUARY MISSION

Use the mission’s resources to complete the tasks and answer the questions for a chance to win!

Answer each question correctly during the week and you'll be entered for a chance to win the weekly prize.

Answer all 20 questions correctly over the course of the month and you'll be entered for a chance to win the grand prize.

150 points are being awarded for each correctly answered question. There are 20 questions, which means you can earn a maximum of 3,000 points for this mission.

  • Hello all and happy new year!

We understand it's a bummer to get a question wrong, but remember, even if you don't qualify for that week's prize, there's always the following week! And you're still earning points to buy things in the THWACK store. All is not lost, we promise!

I'm working to have our team address your comments directly, but we're working within different time zones, so they may not be able to respond immediately. Please stay tuned, we appreciate your patience.

Remember, these questions are designed to make you think but don't overthink. We're not aiming to trip you up, but if you take a moment to process the answers carefully, read the hint page and don't resort to ctrl+f ;) these should be pretty straightforward. That being said, we won't claim to be perfect and we're not averse to constructive feedback.

Lastly, I'd like to remind folks that there are humans on the back end of this community, working to make these missions fun and insightful for you. We care a great deal about making THWACK a fun/positive space for you and we're doing our best.

    To a prosperous 2022...

Perhaps one way to do that would be to make the answers much more obvious after scanning the linked page.  These missions are basically a marketing tool and the purpose of marketing is usually to get people interested enough to buy.  When the questions are poorly worded or links don't work the typical outcome is that people don't engage further.  That's kind of the direct opposite of the purpose.  My free advice.  Happy New Year.
