SolarWinds User Group Returns: Virtual Edition

*Cue Reunited by Peaches & Herbs* It’s been 238 days since our last SolarWinds User GroupTm  (SWUG) discussion, and we’ve missed you! That’s why we’re excited to announce that SWUG is back in just six weeks, going virtual this year on June 25, 2025.

This online event is your chance to dive deeper into SolarWinds® products and connect with a vibrant community of IT pros from the comfort of your desk. We’re bringing the same energy and engagement you expect from SWUG, now on a digital platform.

What to expect:
We’ll kick off the event promptly at 9:00 a.m. CT with an optional virtual networking session, “The Kickoff Connection.” During this time, attendees will be automatically moved into the breakout sessions they selected during registration. At 9:30 a.m. CT, we’ll transition into the main event: “Alert Like a Boss: Real Tips from the Field,” featuring THWACK MVP Adam Beedell.

"Tired of finding out about issues after users do? In this session, we’ll show you how to set up smart, snappy alerts in SolarWinds® Observability Self-Hosted so you’re the hero, not the help desk. We’ll be joined by SolarWinds MVP Adam Beedell, who’ll share real-world tips, wins, and what’s actually worked to take his product (and sanity) further. Alert like a boss."

Whether you're a seasoned SWUG veteran or new to the SolarWinds community, there’s something for everyone. Connect with our Tech Evangelists, Sales Engineers, and Technical Specialists, gain insights during the main event, and network with fellow IT professionals.

To make things even more exciting, you’ll have the chance to earn 2,500 THWACK points and win exclusive prizes in our giveaway*!

Mark your calendars, invite your colleagues, and get ready for an event full of learning, networking, and fun!

  • Yes.  The World Tour was just a marketing exercise but a failure as you were marketing it to people who already have the product and know how to use it.  SWUG in person was a chance for the best sales people you have (us Solarwinds techies) to meet your techies and get hints and tips.  Also very useful for our networking and a great place to meet the folks we talk to on line.

  • Sad to see this go virtual.  I enjoyed seeing you all when you came to Portland & Seattle.  Though now that I think about it I don't think anyone is left from SolarWinds that I once visited with.  Such is the eb & flow of SolarWinds when you all are private you innovate and do some cool stuff, when you go public you try and sell us micro-products and things just aren't the same.  Best of luck.

  • I am not a big fan of the Virtual... But I am a HUGE fan of the SWUG. SWUGs are always Fun Filled, packed with great information, and of course the chance to win great Prizes. The breakout sessions with trainers, engineers, and Geeks are always interesting and productive. If you are on the fence and asking the question, to SWUG or not to SWUG... I will always say, SWUG away, Merrill (Movie Signs)... and I hope to see you there.

  • I agree and I do feel like the virtual SWUG is just a easy way to cut costs which only makes it feel like a prelude of things to come now that SW has been brought out by a equity firm which often are more focused on short term profits than long term engagement
