oh yes! A combination of no hair and an meat locker computer room means I need a nice warm, pajama-like hoodie

it is kind of sad that with all this new tech and with so much already done for modern developers through predefined look and feel, input type etc. They still manage to ignore everything hard-learned in the past. I would bet that its also down to the shift to languages that speed up deployment by pretending to do all the…

the problem with dedicated people on security is that they cannot be holistic - all they can do is act as a mentor for others or a compliance vector. Hitting security issues everywhere means that each individual must take personal responsibility for security and build it into everything that they do. My favorite example is…

This is the greatest risk against IoT - security is mostly an afterthought, or worse, not thought about when most vendors rush a crappy product to market. Even worse is that because there will be many more IoT devices compared to computers, each device doesn't have to be sending a storm of traffic. We really need security…

maybe the point was to use the map - as mapping is a new feature

Yep - there we go

darn - only two more chances for one of those loot crates - I don't have enough geeky T shirts already
-
Long live Will Weaton - he will save us all.....

if that's happening there, I'll be there

congratulations @"ChrystalT" Its funny, but I have observed that the truly bright people are the ones that think they don't know enough and there's always more to learn

@"Radioteacher" I got mine from Amazon, its an AITerminal electric sit/stand desk and is built like a tank, just what I needed.

I think that regardless of what we monitor and stick on dashboards, we will always need the base level data and expose it to the monitoring system in order to diagnose an issue. Appstack is a great start at enabing this kind of presentation. Seeing this as V1 and knowing how this stuff rapidly matures at Solarwinds, the…
-
not really had much need for this through the network, our current asset mgmt tools do some of it already which means none of it is available within Solarwinds though
-
definitely need more cloud monitoring that doesn't require a intermediary cloud based connector Vast majority of our cloud is AWS. Azure is only there because of O365
-
I almost won
-
This is basic functionality that needs to be in the product
-
I love it when missions introduce you to products like this, especially those that aren't obvious on the main web site.
-
Yep sure do, sat next to my monitor on my desk I still have that laptop with the SW button sticker as well.

I'm conflicted with SQL Server on linux From the techie/geek perspective I love the idea because I love linux and everything it stands for. I also love that microsoft have finally started to support something other than windows however, from the mgmt perspective, I hate that the cost of hiring a linux admin is much, much…

this would be huge. The current apache monitor uses a series of perl scripts via an SSH connection so is really expensive when it comes to collecting all the data that is possible from the current apache/server-status page. Pulling of that from a single query would be much more efficient.

This is one of my favorite shirts Combining Chuys and Star Wars

I find the logical diagrams to be much more useful and give me the view I need most. But agree that keeping these things up to date is a headache. Am looking to get much of these into Atlas to give them a better use than becoming dusty wall art. The new NOC view really helps that
-
sad to see it go, but also see the logic
-
sad that we (all tech companies) are fundamentally insecure the days of a business desktop pc with access to both internet and business applications are almost over
-
its too easy to connect number of users with usefulness. internal collaboration has little to do with Google+ or Facebook Also, the collaboration tool of choice is different for different generations.
