By reservation system you mean application run on a web browser and don't require any software installation on the customer's device ? If yes then SolarWinds service desk will be perfect fit for as this one is SaaS based application.

When you say moving from On-Premise to Cloud, is this a move from Web Help Desk to SW ITSM?

Yes we are considering miigrating off Web Help Desk to SW ITSM. Currently we have rudementary reversation system where we can track, and check out our extensive inventory of IT and AV equipment out as loaners to our staff.  Is there similarly functionality available in SW ITSM?

i.e. Check-Out/Check-In System: where we can implement a system for users to check out equipment for temporary use and check it back in when they're finished.

Or would we have to consider something like snipeit for this purpose?

Last time I checked SWSD was not as good as WHD in this area. WHD has specific Reservations functionality where End Users could select Assets as Reservable.

Things could have changed since I last checked.

If you are already in conversation with a SW Account Manager then I would get them to check with one of their SE's with a proper Use Case.
