Link Approver roles to AD manager in Web helpdesk

Hi

Rather than having location or department approvers I'd like to be able to set the requester's manager (from AD) to be set. Is that possible?

Manager is not an AD field that can be pulled in. There is an existiing Feature Request you can try to upvote on that (+) Ability to pull in Active Directory "Manager" field for use in Approval Process…
