Survey participants need to be logged in to submit surveys

I think this was the general hardening of the application to only allow authenticated access.

This is too bad. Survey responses have dropped drastically after this issue

I lodged a complaint with Solarwinds some time back as well. The only progress made so far was asking me to provide additional details and screenshots. I had the same issue described in your link prior to the upgrade to 12.7.13 promising this would solve the issue only to get this new error instead. Our survey response rates have fallen to 30% of what it was before. 

A quick update to this: we've been promised that an update is in the pipeline and should land somewhere in April. According to Solarwinds, this should resolve the issue. Hopefully, this can turn around what they've broken.

IN the 12.8.2 release which came out this week they noted the following: Survey participants can be required to log in or take the survey without logging in using the flag 'Login required to submit survey' under Setup > Surveys > Surveys."

Avadhut.Deshpande I concur with typhoon87 - this issue is addressed in 12.8.2.  This idea can be set to IMPLEMENTED - congrats to the development team for implementing another GREAT change to the product returning the "Anonymous" functionality that nobody ever asked to have removed.
