Capacity planning reports - Can these be automated and/or exported?

Hi all,

I'm currently creating some Capacity Planning reports, and they are great. However, I have a few questions about them:

1. Can they be re-run/scheduled, without having to delete them and re-create them?

2. Can the reports be exported to PDF? Currently it just shows the report on-screen.

3. Can a summary/roll-up report be generated to show the output of multiple capacity planning reports? We have multiple clusters of varying sizes, so some require reserving one, two or more hosts worth of capacity for the report to be useful.

Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Ben

  • This seems like it would be a common request to not only help tracking over time but to also help prepare reports or presentations to prove usage for budgeting. Is it really the case that nobody is attempting to export the capacity planning reports?

  • Yeah exactly. Trying to plan for hardware refresh/expansion is hard with the limitations in these reports. It's a shame the data and forecast values can't be viewed in a similar fashion to the AppStack trending.
