UDT and Palo Alto Firewalls

I have a number of PA FWs that we use. Many devices like IoT devices have VLANs that terminate on the FW. I have the polling integration setup. I cannot search a device via the IP address.

Support said the following two MIBs on my FW say are unsupported.

ipNetToMediaTable = 1.3.6.1.2.1.4.22

ipNetToPhysicalTable = 1.3.6.1.2.1.4.35

This is needed to read the ARP data.

Questions.

1. Why is SW using SNMP to read data for SNMP when the integration is supposed to get UDT info?

2. Any other SW and PA customers able to search for device on FW via the IP address?

You can probably have talked to support and got this resolved quickly or be like me and avoid them like the plague.

For those with the fear of talking to other humans, that document will help setting up your Palo Alto Firewall. The reason is you need CLI polling to pull Layer 3 ARP. PA doesn't have ARP tables in their SNMP.

Also PA220 were built by the devil to give good God fearing firewall technicians early deaths as their hearts pump during those extra seconds while they commit or cli in. Because of this I added some additional seconds to the SSH settings, so NCM would pull the files. Adjusted it to 45 and 60 and that seemed to help.
