NCM SWQL Query help in 2023.2.1 / Orion (v3)

Are you able to see the server/database on the left panel after you connect? You should be able to expand that selection and see the tables in the database. I usually use V3 AD for my connection, then it uses my logged in credentials. In addition what ever user you are logged into your computer as also needs the appropriate rights in SolarWinds to run the SQWL queries or they won't run.

I am definitely connected. The queries on Orion table all works. 

In my case the issue was the user I was using to connect to SWIS from SWQL Studio. For Orion entity user with or without domain name worked, but for NCM entity only user with domain name worked (e.g. some_AD\some_username). Since then I always use domain\user login for SWQL Studio and scripts.

Thank you and I tried to use my SSO ID as DOMAIN\name.name but I keep getting Timeout error.
Do you think my SSO ID does not have access to Information Service? What setting to enable for that. 

Does this mean the behavior now changed? Initially you were getting no results, now a timeout?

I tested just now again, if I used only username, I got no results, if I used domain\username, I got the correct result.

When you log in via web to your Solarwinds with this user, are you able to access NCM data?

No no still same behavior. My previous update was in addition to your suggestion. 
I have one Local Admin user - this is the one that does not show any output to NCM.* tables.
You suggested DOMAIN\User. This is what is giving me Timeout in SQWL Studio.

I am going to check both Local Admin and my SSO ID access. 

I was able to replicate it. Try either domain/ in from of your username or using a different method to authenticate.

This worked in my environment. If I set it to other options the query fails.

Also once you get the queries working the query you posted above works fine.

I am back in business, queries are now working.

Interesting, for me it works with Orion v3 server type and domain\username.

When I tested if you omit the domain\ then most other tables would show but the NCM tables were blank.
