Can't get Scanner on Ubuntu Working

I can't seem to get my Discovery Scanner installed on Ubuntu to show up in my scanner list. I had it set up prior and accidentally removed it, so then I decided to reinstall it, but it won't show up any longer. Even tried a brand new Ubuntu instance and still nothing will show up in my scanner list.

  • If I could ask one more question:

When adding credentials to a scan, is that for each specific device being scanned? If I want to add an SSH key credentials is that just generated on the scanner itself?

  • Yes, the credentials for the scan are for the target machines. So you will want to make sure the credentials you give the scanner to use are valid for the machines it pings. You can also add multiple connections on the same scanner to try multiple different credentials.
