New to Service Desk so forgive me if this is really obvious.
Does Service Desk integrate with either Active Directory or Entra ID so that I can have it query those sources when filling out a form?
Here is a simple example.
ServiceDesk request to change the manager of an employee.
During the ticket creation it would allow you to use an item picker that would query Active Directory and return all the employees or groups, from there you could select that as an option in the ticket.
Short answer, yes.
We've setup our SWSD to integrate with Azure AD for Single Sign-On. From there we used a custom field named "Reports to" and the type is set to "User" thus creating a searchable picker. Technically this can still be achieved without the integration but would require the manual management of the user in SWSD by an admin.

I know this was a good answer but is it possible to push this out a little more when you need multiple validate End User names added which might be for a server share for example? The list of users will not be limited and will expand as required.

Hey pabely ! If I understand you correctly, you'd like to have the user field be able to select multiple users without a limit. The field I referenced above is for a single selection from a drop down search field. To my knowledge there isn't a way for it to select more than one person when using the Field Type of User. If this is something you're looking for, I'd recommend checking the feature request section to either vote on this capability or submitting it.
