Export details of monitor(s) attached to Computers

Hi All,

Does anyone know of a way to either create a view or exports details of the monitors attached to a computer?

We can see details of the monitor (Manufacturer/Model.service tag) under 'Monitors' on the Hardware tab and can search directly for a service tag and the result will bring us to the computer however, I would like to be able to see just monitors (including serial numbers) under a separate list.

Anyone know of a way to do this? I have tried using the Columns and filters but at best, I can only see the number of monitors connected.

Any help/insight would be greatly appreciated

Hi SteveS21 , currently there isnt a way to see this data outside of the computer record. We have heard requests in the past to either provide a way to manually add those items to other assets, think a button on the monitor record on the computer record, that would also tie that new other asset to the computer. We have also heard people wanting us to auto create them as other assets so you can do the reporting that you are looking for. Both of these are great feature requests and things that we will continue to consider as we work through our asset management roadmap and priorities.

In the meantime, we do provide this data in the csv export of computers. Stick with me as I try and break down a way you could get this data into Other Assets as easy as possible.

Go to Assets - Computers

Click on Actions - Export - CSV All Columns

In the CSV there are going to be columns labeled Displays 1, Displays 2, etc

You can grab those columns and put them into a different CSV for importing into the Other Assets area CSV Imports for SWSD

Let me know if you give that a try and if it works out for you!
