Solarwinds with SMS API for Alert Notification

Hi,

There is a requirement to integrate SMS API for sending the alert SMS to users. For integrating SMS API service for this purpose need help on below doubts- 

1> What changes I need to do in my Solarwinds settings? 

2> What all details I need to implement this? 

3> How can we leverage this functionality at it's best with SolarWinds? 

4> Any article or documentation on this? (I tried to search but could not find a good one)

    One thing to consider when thinking about using an online SMS provider is:

    How are you going to send an SMS alert that the network is down, when you can't reach the SMS provider due to the network is down?

    My suggestion is to purchase a hardware device for sending SMS, placing is as close to the SolarWinds server as possible. Minimizing the parts between server and SMS HW.
