Request for clarification on Triggered Alerts

Hi Team, 
 
 Greetings! 
 I hope you are all doing well. I have a few questions about active alerts and their working behavior. Please refer to the snapshot below for your reference. 
 1. In points no.1, 2, 3 & 4 it's showing alert active time is 60d 22h 55m, I want to know why it's showing like this as the issue is already resolved. 
 2. In Point no. 5 it's showing alert active time is 114d 9h 57m, I want to know why it's showing like this as the issue is already resolved and the alert is also acknowledged. 
 3. In Point no. 6 it's showing alert active time is 115d 2h 54m, I want to know why it's showing like this as the issue is already resolved and the alert is also acknowledged. 
 4. Please explain how triggered alerts work and when an active alert is displayed, regardless of whether the issue is resolved.

From what I understand about active alerts , is that if the problem is still there, the alert will remain active , if the problem is resolved the alert should go away. What you can try is clearing the alert by selecting the node you want to clear then click on "clear triggered instance of alert" If the alert comes back the problem still persists. NB this will clear the day and hour and minute counters for the active alert.

 You're right, I need to learn more about SolarWinds. If you've read my posts, you'll notice that I always start by using words like "Request" or "Suggestion" to indicate that I'm seeking guidance. One more scenario, IF the alert condition is changed or sometimes IF the object is modified once alert is triggered, the alert will NOT auto clear. (like lets say you changed IP or custom property, often since alert is already triggered, now object is changed- it will not reset, and consider the object as a new one).
