Is there a method to backup Orion network maps? Network Atlas is no longer supported so we transitioned to Orion maps

Sometimes our maps get corrupted or deleted and we have to recreate them from scratch.  I know we can simply perform a "Save As", but that is cumbersome when you have hundreds of maps, and then you have to remember to create a backup copy on a regular basis.

  • Yes, pretty much.  We also have the issue with SolarWinds when you replace a device (such as a switch) with a different device and keep the same IP.  SolarWinds will not 'forget' the old interfaces so we have to delete the node and rediscover.  When you delete the node, it is automatically removed from the maps.  It's nice to see how everything was connected in the first place, and a archive database would help with that.
