Unexpected Website Error

Good morning.  I am new to SolarWinds.  After reviewing a on demand video; we recently upgraded our SAM deployment to HCO.  Whenever we try to select a dashboard, we can an unexpected website error.  Following some information from, we have tried to fix the problem by repairing the Orion website.  (See the following doc link - Rebuild the Orion Website (solarwinds.com).

This is a wonderful document, but when we try to repair, we are told to use an msi file that we can't find.  All we have is an SolarWinds executable that we downloaded from the Support site.  Has anyone encountered this problem and got it fixed?

Thanks in advance for your time.

  • All of the MSI files should be under C:\ProgramData\SolarWinds\Installers. However, appwiz.cpl usually can't see this unless you modify the permissions of the directory. If you simply browse to the directory you'll likely get a UAC prompt to modify the permissions, after which you'll be able to run the repair.
