What We’re Working On for SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted and the Network and Infrastructure Modules [Updated: OCT-2024]
With the recent release SolarWinds Platform and Products—Version 2024.4 is Now Generally Available! of SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted (formerly Hybrid Cloud Observability) and all Network and Infrastructure modules, we added some great features:
- Support for Azure SQL Managed Instance, DB for MySQL, DB for Postgres
- Support for AWS RDS for SQL
- Support for Fortinet SD-WAN
- Support for Ruckus, Fortinet, Extreme Networks, Juniper, and Arista wireless access points
- Support for Dell PowerStore T arrays (Storage Monitor only)
- Improved Modern Dashboards (tabs, filters)
- Improved Intelligent Maps parity (background images, export, and bendy links)

- Enhancing out-of-the-box SNMP monitoring for network switches, focusing on Layer 2, Layer 3, and Hardware Health metrics to provide more comprehensive visibility into switch performance and health. Initially, the focus is on Aruba and Fortinet switches, notably their latest series. (HCO and NPM)
- Support for Wireless Access Points via API-based poller (HCO and NPM)
- Ruckus, Ubiquiti
- Increasing monitoring depth on API-based switches, routers, and firewalls (HCO and NPM)
- Support HPE Alletra 5k, 6k and 9k arrays (Storage Monitor only)
- Improved API monitoring (Server & Application Monitor)
SolarWinds Platform
- Enhance Modern Dashboards: Extending framework for advanced functionality in Summary and Detail Pages. Simplifying usability and workflow in creating and updating dashboards
- Continue improving Intelligent Maps (formerly Orion Maps) and the migration from Network Atlas. See more here
- Connecting SolarWinds Hybrid Cloud Observability with SolarWinds Observability software as a service (SaaS) solutions
- Support GMSA credentials for server and application polling.
- Support recurring maintenance windows (aka alert muting)
- Improve support for IPv6 only environments

- Improvements to upgrades, stability, performance, and security
