What’s New in Security Event Manager (SEM) 2024.4

We’re excited to announce a new release for the Security Event Manager (SEM) Version 2024.4 is now available on your customer portal and solarwinds.com.

Want to see everything that’s new? Please refer to the release notes for a broad overview of this release.

What is included in this release?

Kubernetes cluster container monitoring

  • SEM 2024.4 introduces Kubernetes (K8s) cluster container monitoring. By deploying a node-level agent running as a DaemonSet, you can monitor container logs directly from your SEM console.

To learn more, see the following topics in the SEM Administrator Guide:

    • Install a node-level SEM agent running in Kubernetes as DaemonSet
    • Configure the Kube API reader connection settings

Enhanced Historical Search Filtering

  • Using a live event filter, you can create a historical event query that locates events from a time range greater than seven days and up to thirty days. Once created and saved, you can schedule the query to run automatically at specific times and days for your reporting purposes.

Dark Mode Support

  • SEM now features Dark Mode! Whether you’re working late or just prefer the sleek look, Dark Mode reduces eye strain and glare, giving your eyes a break without compromising readability.
