I know you put this in a while ago - are you still experiencing this issue? It sounds like a communication issue between your WSUS client machines (server/workstation) to the WSUS server. Patch Manager can let you Publish 3rd party application packages and also let you Approve those 3rd party as well as Windows updates, but it isn't directly involved in the communication between the WSUS Clients and the WSUS server. We'd probably need more information to help you troubleshoot this issue, like: ---can you show the log entries or screenshot the error
---is this happening for just one machine or all of your WSUS clients?
---are you using SSL on the WSUS server (port 8531) or the default port (8530)?
---is the error happening with only 3rd party updates or both Windows AND 3rd Party
---what update-related Group Policy settings do the client machine(s) have?
