Papertrail Now Available as a DigitalOcean Software as a Service Add-On

A little over a year ago, we announced a partnership with DigitalOcean to make it easier for users to add log management and monitoring for applications running in DigitalOcean Droplets (VMs). Since then, we’ve created a DigitalOcean Marketplace Listing, provided a direct link to the signup page, and shared many ideas on how to use SolarWinds® PapertrailTm to troubleshoot and optimize applications running in DigitalOcean Droplets.

We were thrilled to see over 300 DigitalOcean users sent their logs to SolarWinds Papertrail to simplify monitoring and troubleshooting application issues.

We’re happy to announce we’re strengthening our partnership with DigitalOcean to offer Papertrail as a software as a service (SaaS) add-on in the DigitalOcean Marketplace. The Papertrail add-on can consolidate logs from any source, including Droplets, Kubernetes, and other apps. This new integration easily connects to the DigitalOcean App Platform, a fully managed platform as a service (PaaS) designed to allow developers to build, deploy, and scale more efficiently.

As a SaaS add-on, DigitalOcean App Platform users can now add Papertrail log management to their application from within the DigitalOcean App Platform by selecting Add-Ons from the Control Panel.

Navigate to the Papertrail Tile in the Available Add-Ons list and select Install.

That’s it. There’s no need to set up a new Papertrail account, configure log forwarding, or worry about billing. It’s all now managed as part of the DigitalOcean App Platform.

Give it a shot, and let us know what you think.
