Installation problems Network Topology Mapper

Good morning to the community

I am doing the installation of
Network Topology Mapper 2.3.0.50108 and it gives me the following error.

Reviewing the documentation, I noticed this announcement (
Licensing NTM and Orion Platform products on the same server is not supported.),
and in fact I am installing NTM on the same server where I have an NPM instance, could this be the reason for the error?

  • Hello,

this workaround worked, while I am administrator :

in the NTM 2.3 Release Notes :
Non-administrator users cannot install NTM 2.3

Run PowerShell as administrator: Search for PowerShell in the taskbar, right-click Windows PowerShell in the search results, and click Run as administrator.

In PowerShell, go to the System32 folder.

    cd C:\Windows\System32

Review the following command, replace with your location. If necessary, adjust the path to logs.

    .\msiexec.exe /i "<installation file location, such as C:\Users\nonadmin\Downloads\NTM-2.3.0.50133\SolarWinds Network Topology Mapper.msi>" /L*V "C:\Users\nonadmin\Downloads\NTM-2.3.0.50133\SolarWinds Network Topology Mapper-msi.log"

Since I am already an administrator install shouln't fail, but with Solarwinds it's often special

    regards
