Is 2020.2 RC2 immune to SUNBURST/Solorigate? Offline HF installer isn't doing anything

Yeah i get the same message when running the offline installer for HF1 whilst 2020.2 RC2 is installed.

Can someone please confirm if RC2 included the HF1 or how we update RC2 if it hasn't?

I would upgrade to latest Production Versions, If you download the offline installer that will include the latest HotFix.

tony.johnson surely downloading the HF1 installer from the customer portal should work, but it apparently doesn't.

So rather than downloading a 1.1Gb HF file, we need to download the entire offline suite at just over 4.3Gb to get the update.

That's not really an issue for us, so will download that, but why offer just the HF when it doesn't appear to work?

As stated above, we are unable to upgrade to HF1 because the offline updater believes we are already up-to-date. Microsoft Defender identified the offending files but doesn't seem able to clean them-is there a workaround to get HF1 installed on systems running 2020.2 RC2?

is undated and has no time stamp indicating that it is the latest info. Other threads indicate that  2020.2.1 HF 1  does NOT fix this problem, and another HF is coming tomorrow. See Tony Johnson's further up on this thread..

I think this thread should be closed, and a pointer to single canonical thread from SolarWinds should be open with the latest info, and that thread should be closed to general replies, and a timestamp added by SolarWinds indicating that it's still the latest info.

How hard would it be to also have an installer that just replaces the corrupted files without changing the version?

Some of us spent weeks getting 2020.2 stable as is the last version that dose not have problems with Agents in server initiated mode and upgrading to HF1 or 2 is not an option.
