Modern dashboard now requires a login, but not any I know.

I hadn't viewed the Modern Dashboard I had used in a while. When I click on it, it sends me to a Solarwinds login page. It won't take my local login, and I am an admin user. When I login as the Admin user on Solarwinds, the Modern dashboard is not in the menu, so I must not have shared it with the Admin user.  I still have a Windows user account, but it doesn't take my AD credentials as a login either.

Why is the Modern dashboard asking for a login that nothing works with?

  • I would guess that the dashbaord has been deleted.  When I login as the built-in "admin" account, I can see all dashboards including the private ones.  I know this does not fully explain the issue, because if I try to access a dashbaord that does not exist, I get the "404 oops" message, instead of a login.

  • I can still see the Modern Dashboard under the Settings pulldown menus "Manage Dashboards". I told it to set the dashboard as Public, which it already was. I then set myself as the owner.  When I try to add a new widget, it acts like I am not the owner.  When I try to configure the widget I get "  The owner of this dashboard has not yet configured this widget..."  When I click on a predefined widget type to apply it allows that but when I try to edit that new widget, it will not let me.

So, any ideas what this is all about?
