Solarwinds version 2020.2.6
We prepared .csv file to bulk update custom properties for 300 nodes, and tested the file for 2 nodes. File upload succeeded and nodes were updated and nodes were moved according to its new floor grouping.
Then we proceeded uploading rest, upload succeeded, but nodes were not updated value of csv file. The reason is: we observed description filed is mandatory when to add a node, but description field is empty for most of my ~300ea nodes.
So we un-ticked "value must be specified" in settings of custom properties 'Description' because of my file does not contain value for description field. Then re-uploaded the bulk updating file, nodes were uploaded successfully. After that changed back description properties.
