How does Log Analyzer works?

Hi Guys

Does anyone happen to know how does LA works? Because when I open port 514 my network devices like my switches, ISE and routers are able to receive. However, if a server were to send me syslogs I am not getting anything. Do I need to do additional configuration on my end?
