I've got an install of Kiwi Syslog Server NG which I've not used for about 9 months. It's been sitting and running in the background, and I've forgotton/lost the login details.
Is there any way to recover / reset the password, or do I need to accept that I messed-up, delete the whole lot and install a new instance with a new (and securely stored) set of credentials?
Unfortunately, that doesn't apply to Kiwi Syslog NG, so no, but thanks for thinking of it - I did look.
I've actually now had a reply from Tech Support directly, and they said if I'd set up an email address for the administrator user, then I would have the option to reset the password using the "Forgot Password" link at login, but if not then it's a re-install.
Lesson learned - use a secure password manager and note down your install passwords
