Update to 1.2 Kiwi Syslog Server NG Release. How to install?

Question

Hello, 
 2 days ago, a new KSS NG version (1.2) was released and I would like to upgrade. 
 I already downloaded the .exe file from License Management in Solarwinds, but im not sure how to install the upgrade, without destroying my existing server :D My Question are: 
 - Do i need to backup my settings/configs/rules etc. or is Kiwi going to read / use them automatically after the update? - Do I need to pay attention to something or is it just like the first installatsation of KSS? For example installing .net etc. and "clicking" through the installer... Thank you in advance!

its always best practice to have backups of your server. If you are using VMWare/Azure/AWS, snapshot the system first before attempting upgrades so it is easier to roll back if something goes wrong.
