After using the old syslog application for years, I am find the NG version is nice, but I am having trouble configuring the rules.
First question many:
If a Rule is configured to send an Exception to a different Display, to help clean up an overly excessive amount of errors until we can get the device fixed, how can I configure the new rule to STOP PROCESSING all other Rules in the list?
I have researched and found the following:
-
Open Kiwi Syslog Server.
-
Navigate to the Rules tab.
-
Click "Add Rule" or select an existing rule and click "Edit Rule".
-
Set Conditions:
- Define the conditions that the message must meet for the rule to apply. For example, you can set a condition to match messages containing specific text, coming from a specific IP address, etc.
-
Set Actions:
- Add the actions you want Kiwi Syslog Server to perform when the rule conditions are met. For example, you might choose to send an email alert, log the message to a file, or display a popup notification.
-
Enable Stop Processing:
- Look for an option like "Stop processing more rules" or "Stop further rule processing".
- Check this option to ensure no further rules are processed if this rule matches a message.
-
Save the Rule:
- Click "OK" or "Save" to save the rule configuration.
But "Enaable Stop Processing" is no where to be found on that edit page.
