Announcing SolarWinds Kiwi Syslog Server 9.8.3 is now Generally Available
We would like to announce the general availability of Kiwi Syslog Server version 9.8.3.
Legacy KSS 9.8.3 is the newest version of the legacy Kiwi Syslog Server application. To view the latest updates for the newest generation of Kiwi Syslog Server, see the KSS NG 1.2 release notes.
This release contains following new features and improvements.

Support for Microsoft Windows Server 2022
Legacy Kiwi Syslog Server now supports Microsoft Windows Server 2022 for enhanced security features, hardware compatibility, performance, and efficiency between server connections. For more information about Windows Server 2022, see What's New in Windows Server 2022. -
Upgraded Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable components
The Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 and 2013 (x86) Redistributable components have been upgraded to the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable (x86) version for improved performance, compatibility with Windows, and support in legacy Kiwi Syslog Server. -
Improved encryption in Kiwi Web Access
The password storage security method in Kiwi Web Access has been updated to use the SHA2 algorithm. -
Improved connection security in Kiwi Web Access
The Kiwi Web Access self-signed certificate now uses a stronger SSL/TSL key exchange. The length of the public key used by Kiwi Web Access has been increased 2048 bits for a more secure server connection. -
Other improvements
The IPWorks library has been updated to version 2022.
