Announcing Kiwi Syslog Server NG 1.3 is now Generally Available
We would like to announce Kiwi Syslog Server NG (New Generation) version 1.3. This release contains following new features and improvements
- Schedule clean-up and archive tasks
You can schedule tasks to delete or archive files in KSS NG.
- Use a clean-up task to delete files that match your specified criteria, such as file age, size, and type. For example, you can create a clean-up task to remove archived log files after they have been retained for a set required period. You can schedule the task to run at regular intervals to create an automated process.
For details, see Create a scheduled task to delete files. - Use an archive task to save disk space and automatically archive files that are no longer needed. For example, you can create a task to archive troubleshooting log files once they are more than a week old. The archive task includes options to compress files, encrypt files, move files to another location, and send notifications. You can schedule the task to run at regular intervals create an automated process.

- Customize your display names
You can create a custom name for each display you use in KSS NG. Display names are viewable in the Dashboard, Events tab, and Rules Wizard. To rename your display, see Log messages to a user display.
