SNMP Version Greyed out Action under alerts

I need to send SNMP v2 data to the network monitoring tools from ipmonitor. But under action, when I select SNMP Trap, it doesn't allow me to change the version.

You can't change that from an alert view you will need to edit the node.

Thanks for the response. When I go to edit the device it just takes me to the alert itself to modify it and it is still greyed out. What am I overlooking?
Also, the device isn't using SNMP, this is a simple monitor that I am using the ICMP alert to send an SNMP to the network monitoring SW if there is no response. So sending an SNMP from IpMonitor. Not the devices SNMP settings.
