I have 100+ subnets. It's all manufacturing so no DHCP, all is static. I have the same 9606 chassis pair that is the router for all of the subnets. I had Neighbor Scanning enabled but had to disable it since it was so intrusive. There is no reason for it to scan subnet A, to discover B, C, and on. Then scan B, and do the same rabbit hole again, 100+ times. Is there some secret setting where it can just grab the ARP table and stop there? Yes, I under stand that the 9606 will drop snmp queries first, but it has so much more capability than everything else, some other devices get drowned out when these hit before the 9606 has a chance to ignore them.
