Sounds more like an NPM thing than a DPA thing, or is this definitely DPA?
If this is NPM, first thing I would check is in list resources. How is the server Status and Response time being monitored? Depending on if this is monitored via ICMP, Agent or SNMP, it raises different things to look into
Also, how are you getting status? SNMP and WMI default to ICMP (pretty reliable) and agents use the agent update (less reliable in my experience) IF these are agents, consider moving the status (edit resources) to ICMP while you troubleshoot why agent updates are having issues.
One of the vm which had alert uses ICMP, while most devices are network devices which use SNMP to poll data, those network devices have packet loss alerts, while network team say they see no issues from their portal.
Status and Response time for most devices are monitored using ICMP
Ping from X =/= Ping from Y
should be discussable with the team in question
