AppOptics - licensing if you own regular Solarwinds?

Greetings All.

Question: if I have a fully licensed version of Solarwinds do I also have AppOptics, or is there a separate license?

Details: my company owns and operates Solarwinds with NPM, SAM, NCM, etc. version 2022.4.x (i.e. up to date).  We have an emerging monitoring need for Prometheus that I believe will require AppOptics.

Do we need a separate license and installation for AppOptics, or does AO come with our current installation?

Thanks.

  • I believe further research plus discussion with team members has answered my question.  Yes, it looks like a separate license for AppOptics.

In my shop we'll look into an evaluation license for AppOptics in order to demonstrate its value to leadership.  At the same time we can work on Powershell http script monitors to pull selected metrics and alerts from Prometheus (Openshift) into Solarwinds.

I welcome any additional comments or ideas from the community.  Thanks.
