Delegate AD-Group-Management for specific groups

Hello,

Noob here :-(

I want to delegate the AD-Group-Management for specific groups to specific standard ad users, I hope this is manageable via web-console of arm. I tried settings with data owner and specific resources (only access to a OU of our ad), but i don't get a working solution.

Can you help me if my szenario is possible and how i can set the necessary settings?

Thanks

Christian

  • Your even right, the web interface ist not so good as the client. In the Client i can see the group-members of a delegated group. In web interface it is only possible to add or remove the group from a searched user, i cannot view the group/members before, i think this isn't possible?

  • Up to now, I have only used the web interface to generate reports.
What I have seen so far in terms of group and user administration seemed much less intuitive than in the fat client.
Unfortunately, Solarwinds seems to ignore the fat client and only enhance the web interface in the future.

If you are missing functions, you can start feature requests here in Thwack.
It is said that the Solarwinds developers look in from time to time and try to include popular feature requests in future releases.
However, as nothing official has been heard for a long time and development has probably been outsourced to India, some users fear that the feature requests will no longer be taken into account.
