WPM for monitoring Java applications

Currently WPM does not support java based applications which pop out of the browser. For example oracle form pops out as a separate java app which WPM recorder is failing to capture.

  • I'm both elated and very annoyed that I had just discovered that you can pass a URL encoded parameter to my specific app to force the applet to stay in browser, making the session available for monitoring via WPM.

    It appears to be a common Java applet parameter (not a Java developer) so other watchers of this feature request may find it useful.

    I appended the applet URL with "&separateFrame=false".
