Alert action variables

Question

I've created an alert for when a WPM transaction fails, and an action to email a team. Within that email I added these variables, but they are being printed as is and not the actual value.

${N=SwisEntity;M=Step.Name}
${N=SwisEntity;M=Transaction.StatusDescription}

Anyone know why this may be? I have Transaction selected for what to report on.

Hi, The only option I can think of is to change "I want to alert on" to "Transaction Step" and to change the condition to Transaction.Status == Down Than in trigger action message use those macros. ${N=SwisEntity;M=Step.Name} ${N=SwisEntity;M=Transaction.StatusDescription} Here is a full list of WPM macros that you can use https://documentation.solarwinds.com/en/Success_Center/WPM/Content/OrionWPMAGAlertVariables.htm Macros will work only for the object you use in the "trigger condition" step in the alert edit wizard.
