WHD - Admin rights without ICT features

Hi,

I inherited the management of six WHD instances where the organisation let the users essentially manage it themselves outside of upgrades ie managers can add their own new staff, have visibility of all tickets etc.
One of these instances has 30 admins compared to 3 for all of the others.  Is there a permission or a way I can create a permission that has the admin rights without the ICT parts such as setting database info, connecting to AD, server name etc as im very uncomfortable knowing a quarter of our tech licenses can essentially bring the entire system down?

Many thanks,
Adam

  • Yep that sounds like disaster waiting to happen.  As percy said, add them to tech groups if needed. You can create overlapping tech groups also if some need more permissions then others.  There are a lot of permissions you can set by tech group.  On viewing tickets, WHD has great search capabilities, they should be able to view what they need as far as tickets.
