Support for NX-OS/Cisco Nexus family switches

VNQM does not support the creation or monitoring of IPSLA Operations on Cisco Nexus platform running NX-OS.

Please add functionality for these devices as they are commonly used as datacenter switches and currently one of the most popular solution in this field.

  • I just tried to play a bit with Nexus 9k and IP SLA operation was successfully detected and monitored in VNQM. However, Nexus 5k and 7k do not allow to create operations from the command line console. Can somebody confirm the same behavior?

    Confirmed.  Nexus in my environment does not play with VNQM for reporting/recognizing jitter/delay issues for VoIP.

    One can only upgrade hardware and NXOS and Solarwinds versions in the hopes that newer versions will contain the compatibility and capability.  Or one must move to other products or do without SLA's for VoIP.
