Integration of Syslog and SNMP traps with Alert Engine

I would like to see SolarWinds providing integration between the Syslog and SNMP traps and the web-based Alerting Engine. This could come into a variety of forms. For example, they could...

Under the Alert Actions tab, provide an option of Forwarding the Syslog/Trap to NPM Alerting Engine.
Re-work the Syslog and SNMP traps from the ground up and make them work just like the Alerting Engine -- including parsing of variables on these.

By the way, if they're going to tweak (or re-work) the Syslog and SNMP traps... They might as well also provide an option for SolarWinds to suppress (but not discard) Syslog and SNMP traps for any UNMANAGED nodes automatically. This has been a great source of complaints by our network and NOC teams and also headache for us (SolarWInds admins). I believe these upgrades are well overdue, especially in our day and age.

Lastly, perhaps others might have suggested the above as well. Yet, I could not find a post for the integration of Syslog and SNMP traps. Anyway, I'd very much appreciate your vote for this idea.

Yes I know that was before NPM 11 (2014) ... I will say that they never should implement that trap service ( as it is today) and just keep working on kiwi I move 80% of my trap load back to kiwisyslog…

I would say the requested function is a duplicate of this feature request https://thwack.solarwinds.com/ideas/3580#start=25. - it was created 2 years ago but the request from customers was there much much longer (years before!)... For most customers it is an obvious, logical feature but it is still missing....

If you combine all the FR that has something to do with improving that area in NPM you will get around 500+votes!!!
Its important to keep "nagging" ....this is maybe the biggest challenge I have with Orion platform.
I think I found a thread probably from NPM 8.x its 10 years old the question is the same....

I move 80% of my trap load back to kiwisyslog as main trap server it's just better than NPM in that area ..
The only thing I miss is OOB integration from kiwisyslog to NPM that could run new action that will change node state
PowerShell script to modify Custom Property via Rest API/JSON Somethings like that but less work around
