95:5 Percentil Report Orion

Hello There!

I'm searching for an 95:5 Percentil Report for Orion for Version 2020.2.65100.50179.

Has anybody an idea, how I can do it?

The older sql reports doesn't get an answer and the prefabricated reports are using the average value.

Thank you for your time!

Best regards

  • Thank you for your answer.

We would like to offer our customers a flexible data rate of 1g with an increase to 2g if required.

For evaluation, we would want to use the 95:5 method here.

  • Yes.  But I also see three different calculations on that Wikipedia page.  Which did you plan on implementing?

Also - what fields, over what time, with what accuracy, etc. would you want in the report.  Without that information, we can have math talks all day, but we can't get into the actual report - hence why I asked for the doodle of what the report would look like.

  • Our preferred calculation are the following:

    • Take the max(in, out) for each interval and use that as the source. This method is more complex to implement as it requires processing of each sample but results are closer to estimating total volume of data sent and received.

Example what it should look like as graph:

In a form of table with the following fields:

    timestamp,Devicename,Interfacename,MaxIn,MaxOut,95e

The reports (table, graph) should be over on month to sent it to our customer

    Thank you
