SWQL Query for Down Nodes

Question

Hello, I am very new to SolarWinds. I have no background in SQL/SWQL. I have been doing some online learning through the THWACK youtube channel and am looking for a SWQL query to give me a count of down managed nodes. There appear to be lots of queries for nodes that are up but not too many showing alerts if they are down. I am looking to add this to a KPI widget in a dashboard that I am building. 
 Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi WinterPeg80 and welcome to Orion! 
 
 Below query gives you the number of nodes that are down. Also wrote filters for other node status so you can choose what you want to have. Enable the once you want to use. 
 
 SELECT
 Count(N.NodeID) as Numbers
FROM Orion.Nodes AS N
WHERE
 --N.Status=1 -- Up
 N.status=2 -- Down
 --N.status=9 -- Unmanaged
 --N.status=11 -- External

There's also Modern Dashboards you can download and import yourself. This is one that looks like it would have a bunch of the data you wanted.
